Cimarron Kansas is mostly known for a gun battle called "Battle of Cimarron". In January of 1889 Bill Tilghman rounded up a few gun man to steal the county records from the county courthouse in Cimarron and take them back to Ingalls Kansas. They were met by armed Cimarron men and a gun fight broke out. Records show at least one man died with several others wounded. Cimarron is now a peaceful quiet little town that we love to service.
